IntroductionThe significance of the survey research cannot be ignored. Qualitative research specifically helps in identifying the delicate topics ad finding solutions to them. This paper takes into account two studies. The first is “Men's experience of Physical exam and cancer screening test: a qualitative study” and the second is “Relaxation Techniques for Reducing Pain and Anxiety during Screening Mammography”. Both researches involve a unique topic and hypothesis. The existing studies on men' healthcare and cancer screening is scarce; likewise, women are not open to discuss their breast screening issues commonly. Therefore, both the studies used the techniques relevant to their nature. The first one employed qualitative, where the second used quantitative study to analyse the outcomes. This paper comprises a critical analysis of the findings and methodology of these studies.

AnalysisLiterature review is helpful in facilitating research in identifying the existing knowledge. The current data is critical in understanding the need for the future research. This information does not only help in creating the supportive arguments but to analyse if the existing literature is justified to the subject at hand. A significant feature in these studies is that the authors use the recent literature to support their study. The study on men refers to the recent researches which provide an update of the current and possible cancer screen tests. In the first research, the authors use the information related to qualitative studies thoroughly. The authors use sufficient sources to support their research findings. They have mentioned the work undertaken on the focus studies and qualitative research. For example, in the male patient's research, the authors have reviewed the work of Sandman and Swan to examine the workability of focus groups. According to Kreugar (1988), the focus groups have been used by the social scientists that have doubts about the accuracy of conventional information gathering methods. According to kreuger (1988, o20), focus groups takes on many forms as the researchers modify methods to sui their research needs, it aims to gather consumer perception and opinions on the characteristics of product an advertising, or a social phenomenon. However, Merton feels that the application of focus group is taken from the group interviews and is treated as being reliably valid (Merton, Fiske & Kendall, 1990, p.xxi).

According to sandman, many Americans have irregular relationships with their physicians and health care system that is characterized by a lack of health care providers who are regular There are fewer heath visits than women for preventive purpose like cancer screening. The references cited by the authors are related to the qualitative study on the general health issues of men. The existing data suggests that the cancer screening rates have increased during the past several years; however, the screening efficacy remains doubtful. Without the literature review, it would have been difficult to identify the existing trends ion men health care facilities and practices.
