Charles Manson appeared from the prison cell on the streets of Haight Ashbury and soon become a leader of the group of followers who were willing to do anything for him. Manson wanted to achieve a career in music business but when the dream was short lived his criminal personality emerged. He soon became involved in murder and torture, the notable murder of Manson was the death of Sharon Tate who was pregnant of eight months (Bugliosi, V. & Gentry, C. 1994).

On November 12, 1934 Manson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Manson's mother was only 16 years old when he was born; Kathleen Maddox was a criminal, a drinker, promiscuous and couldn't take care of illegitimate son. After the birth of his son, she was married for a brief period to William Manson. Charlie's name was changed from Maddox to Manson, Kathleen belonged to a religion family, and she had a rebellious attitude towards the religious practicing. In the year 1940, she was charged guilty of Strong Armed Robbery for which she was sent to prison .

When Manson was six year old he was circulated among his various relatives. His grandmother forced him to adopt religious practices from which his mother drifted away, one of his uncles was too feminine, and he dressed Manson as a girl on the very first day of his school. Another uncle committed suicide because the authorities had taken away his land. Manson never had a role model during his childhood, this left a greater impact when grew up as an adult.
