Nevertheless, the country's geography is diverse, with a healthy amount of forests, grasslands, deserts and mountain ranges. Saudi Arabia is a monarchy, based on the principles of Islam. It has a government that is run by a King, who also has major control of the Saudi Arabian military. Being one of the few monarchies left in the world, Saudi Arabia has managed to hold the fort quite admirably and is able to influence other Islamic countries with its strong political power and dignified stance on democratic relations with other countries. In the past few decades, a lot of time and effort has been spent in ensuring students are given the right arena to go forth and stand shoulder to shoulder with their counterparts. International universities have been established for men and women, and in the past five years alone thousands of scholarships to universities around the world have been presented.
