This article presents lessons learned in efforts to solve the ethical problems of family counseling. Issues covered include information from family members, confidentiality, avoidance of relationships, the importance of knowledge about the legal aspects of counseling, to take responsibility to provide ethical violations of other advisers seriously, and promote the dignity and welfare of their clients.
