Counseling Abused Children

Abstract

Historically child sexual abuse (CSA) has been a problem that has been hidden, which has had little recognition in society and therefore less attention. Currently statistics show that the incidence of abuse cases has increased and we dare to say that not making appropriate interventions, favoring the conditions for the phenomenon does not cease. Preventing child sexual abuse is a complex task, which relates not only to professionals but to be developed involving different community social agents. In the education of children, there are a myriad of things that are taken for granted, as if common sense was a guarantor of their knowledge. But this assumption is not true. Parents often ignore the way they have to face in the care of their children and their needs. Thus, this breeding is usually converted into a mutual learning based on trial and error.
