Introduction

The art of producing or the cause to exist is known as creation. In the minds of science the big mystery that surrounds is that how the world is created. Around the world every culture has different elucidation and interpretation on how the world was actually created. These elucidation and interpretation develop the creation myths that are shown in the sky, underworld and the world. Psychiatry of the creation myths enable the investigator access whether the creators where male or female and subsequently their significance of gender. Hence the study of different myths develops a picture and illustrates the human experience and their spiritual beliefs in the past. The myths of our world have been restored are in both verbal and printed forms and are passed through generation after generation. These stories of different creation myths explain the creator of animals, plants, oceans, human being and in fact everything in life.

Zulu Creation Myths

In the eastern part of the South Africa in an African tribe named the Zulu live more than two million people. The main source of earning of these people was agriculture and they gross their earning through the planting of millet besides raising cattle. In the 1800s Zulu ruled a larger part of southern Africa. The origin story of Zulu was told in 1855 to a librarian who worked at a coastal city in South Africa in Cape Town (Williams, 2006).

The people of Zulu have their own creation story. Like other creation myths, the creation of Zulu story makes sense of life and death and relates the story to the creation of the world. The mythology of Zulu consists of many deities that were commonly associated with animals and other natural phenomena. In the Zulu mythology the creator of human being was Unkulunkulu. Unkulunkulu in Zulu's mythology is considered the highest God and therefore known as the creator of humanity in Zulu's mythology (Williams, 2006).The creation of Unkulunkulu in Zulu's myths signifies that he was created in Uhlanga which was a huge swamp of reeds before Unkulunkulu came to Earth. The creator of humanity Unkulunkulu is often addressed as the God of earthquake, God of thunder and sometimes the Sky Father.
