Coral Divers Resort is working for ten years in the niche market business of a highly developing sports scuba diving in the Bahamas in island of New Providence. The organization origins from Jonathan Greywell family that established this niche market by creation of short weekend diving venture, an entertainment that intrigued the people, who were both single and having family. Coral Divers Resort targeted aficionado divers, and tyro. Both of these wanted highest diving joy for least expense, having the benefit of accommodations at beach front locations.
When the global recession and economic crises hit the behaviour of people changed and as the result the resort has to bear a loss and decrease in financial performances. However, in the recession the driving continued to have the profit of almost 2%. The business should do reassessment of the strategies implemented and should take an instant action for the successful business. The aim should be generating high returns on investment.
The major concern in the case study is what the owner Greywell should implement the strategy to grow their business that has suffer significantly. The assignment must include some of the strategies, and the business should go for the SWOT analysis. This analysis of Coral Divers Club will use this model.
Identification of Problem: the economic crises have hit the financial performance of the business and there are now many competitors which business has to face.
Strengths
The sports diving industry is well-built and getting stronger day by day. Greywell has good will and well recognized name in the market. The company is making money. The location of beach is also an advantage for the business. The owner has done investment in the infrastructure and equipments.
