Care in the terminal stage is the name of a special program for the care of terminally ill (dying) and their families. Instead of trying to cure a disease, the efforts of care program for end-stage are focused on making the patient comfortable, to lessen their pain and other distressing symptoms and to give support to the family during a difficult and sad time (Woolf, 2008).

A care program in the terminal stage is to provide the best quality of life for dying persons by providing a "holistic" approach, meaning that giving spiritual, mental, emotional and physical to patients, their families and other persons involved in your care. The purpose of community support is to help ill (dying) pateints with daily activities and also provide personal care. There are various kinds of services provided by the agency (Kelman, 1975, pp. 4).

Cancer is a disease that often involves frequent stops, and sometimes long: 3 years or more. Everything depends on the treatment and how the disease progresses. This is called chronic. The incidence of cancer on everyday life will be extremely important: declining revenues, loss of work, withdrawal. A pateint with cancer is entitled to a number of allowances and benfits. Income Support

Cancer patients entitled for the income support are those between the age of sixteen and the age at which the person gets pension credit. This support provides basic living expenses to the patients, and it is for that patient, who does not have any work i.e. lone parents and carers.

Community Care Grants

The cancer pateints entitlied for the community care grants are those living on Pension, Income support etc. It includes support with items such as clothing, bedding, a drier or washing machine.
