I was very eager to read this article right away because single mother households are everywhere in the U.S. today. The article focused on single-parented children and their fathers and the effects of the relationship on the child's social, emotional, cognitive and behavioral functioning. The study looked closely at the social experiences of warmth and control. The results of the study also focused on children's interactions with their own fathers and then with other men.
