Diagnosis of Contact Dermatitis

Dermatitis is a general term used to describe the features of several skin conditions linked by the clinical finding of inflammation in the epidermis (top layer of the skin). In general it may be thought of as the skin's response to stress or irritants in the environment, and it is not contagious (Werner, 2006, p33).
