Introduction
The report is meant to answer a customer's complain regarding the quality of a consultancy report provided. In order to ensure that the team does not produce work of poor quality again, this report will serve as an instrument to guide the future performance. Performance evaluation and improvements of the group projects are going to be the major focus of the report.
Reasons that fail to satisfy the Client
As the client complain suggests that he is not satisfied with the report. There are quite a few reasons behind the non satisfaction of the customer. The first and most important reason is that few of the things were not presented in the report as it should have been, because the deadline given to the team was only two days which is extremely less to create a complete and satisfying report.
The team was not able to collect enough data that the customer required and as a result report was not good enough to satisfy his needs. Since the data collected was not enough, the size of the report suffered. Moreover, report was not presented in an effective manner i.e. proper format of a consultancy firm report was not followed because some new officers were working on the report and they neglected few important things to include because of the lesser time provided to them.
Recommended Improvements
The first and foremost important recommendation in this regard with poor performance is the about the deadline given to the teams. Teams must not be given unrealistic deadlines because that always result in poor performance, and since there are some new officers in the organization they need good time duration in order to produce quality work. Time management is the issue the team is facing and can be well sorted out by giving them training on how to manage time effectively i.e. what are the things that they need to focus more on and what are the lesser important things etc.
Secondly, a training session is needed in the field of compiling and formatting the consultancy reports. The team members are not able to focus and deliver all the important parts like title page, introduction, analysis, recommendations, conclusion, executive summary etc of the report. Since making consultancy reports is a very tactful task, the team mates need to know what competencies to develop in order to cope up with the competitive environment of consultancy firms. Team mates need to realize, not to overlook customers' expectations and to satisfy him completely.
