Data

The data for the study is based on two variables that are “training of parent management skills” and “behaviors of conduct disorder”. Training of parent management skills indicates the parents training styles that include authoritarian, permissive and uninvolved; however, the behaviors of conduct disorder shows two other factors that are positive and negative effects of training. These variables are necessary and imperative to include as they guide in the purpose of the study that is reduction of conduct disorder by training of parent management skills.

Level of Measurement

There are various level of measurements that include nominal, ordinal and ratio etc.; however, for the study of conduct disorders and parenting styles, nominal scale is used. The variables measured on a nominal scale specification can be defined as occurring cases. It should be noted that the variable measured on a nominal scale are not individual cases that is, it is not possible to determine which of the cases is better from other cases (Grenander and Rosenblatt, 2008). Each case is different, for case in point, it cannot be said that women are better than men or vice versa; though that some people may disagree with this opinion as they believe they are different, but individual cases by any order cannot be ranked (Reiss and Thomas, 2007). For variable measured on a nominal scale that are “training of parent management skills” and “behaviors of conduct disorder”, we can specify the frequency distribution for both the variables of the conduct disorders and parenting styles that is how many individual cases and the percentage of total was the case etc.
