The communal genesis of mental and physical health problems among indigenous people stipulates solutions in light of social and political approaches. The long term effects on the physical, mental and psychosocial health of these communities needs to be addressed with effective possible interventions and health promotions so to facilitate the community move forward as positive and healthy community in the country. Different reported cases of former students of residential schools led to the formation of Indian Residential Schools Resolution Health Support Program. They provide mental and emotional support to eligible former students of residential schools.
