Introduction

Then main concept of the audience affect an individual's writing is to make the audience understand the paper more easily. There were a number of issues when I choose the topic of “Muslim American” and “Praise of a Mother”. Selecting the topic and framing it as per the audience interest was a difficult task (Karen, 2001).

Discussion

Choosing the topic of American Muslims and setting the target audience was a bit difficult for me. Since during the days of childhood and throughout the growing age I was not religious, nor was I religiously educated. I believed in God, but never went to church. I wasn't knowledgeable on the many different religions or the views and beliefs that each religion had. This was one of the basic reasons that I had to cater the article to many of the people who might have views like me. On the other hand, there was also the possibility that many of the people might be in support of Muslims or even be Muslim Americans. It was before the incident of 9/11 that I too had a Muslim American friend. He was one of my very good friends. He and his family belonged from Pakistan, and they were Muslims. He and I were actively serving together in the military, and our families had become good friends. His parents had moved to the United States of America when he was ten years old in hopes of living the American dream. While I was writing the topic, my most of the thoughts were on my friend and his family. Despite he will never know about the article I wrote on American Muslims, and the hatred I have for them, even then I had chances that there can be supporters of the other party too.

Here, I would state that thinking about the audience while writing might frame the work differently. People might be of the belief that it is essential for one to think about the audience and then write the article, however; I could not kill my feeling and mould the paper as per the desires of the audience. However, on the other hand, using abusive or harsh words is extremely unethical and I refrained to it.
