What is the study about?

This study is about the effectiveness of the middle school inclusion program. It is an examination of the patterns which affects the programmatic requirements of the students of the Middle School in the special education classrooms. This study will be taken place at a Middle school and will require 54 middle school students' participation. These students will have varying disabilities. The major aim of examining and analyzing the effectiveness of the inclusion program is for the purpose of improving the educational success of the students with learning disabilities. There are certain evidences suggesting that the students with certain disabilities in the middle schools have a more wider gap in the learning process as compared to the other students of same age without any disabilities. For overcoming this gap of learning different programs are adopted and implemented in the classrooms in order to assist the students in learning properly. Proper training and development of the teachers is also significant in ensuring that the learning process of the students with disabilities is better and effective. The programs which are designed to address the needs of the special students are specifically designed to cater to the individual needs of the students. Curriculum programs and strategies are created to service children's disabilities and to cater to their needs as a result of their handicap.

The purpose the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion programs for the students with learning disabilities in a specific setting. This will be done by assessing the difference between the academic performance of students with disabilities in inclusion and self-contained classrooms. Moreover, the study also aims to analyze factors of program effectiveness through the lens of teachers' perception of effectiveness. The action plan associated with this research will be aimed to help the school administrators, parents and educators to draw insights and ideas to improve the effectiveness of inclusion programs. The purpose of this study is to measure the perception of the special educators, as to the benefits experienced from the NCLB and IDEA provisions that are designed to improve the academic performance of students with learning disabilities.
