Introduction

Computer is one of the advancement of the modern age. Blue hills community college is going to upgrade their computer lab because of advancement and requirement of the college students. The world has become the global village, and we can connect to the world by the click of the button with the help of computer and internet. Nowadays the use of computers; desktop and laptop both have become common. In educational institutions, like school, colleges and universities students use this machine to enhance their knowledge. It depends upon two main elements, hardware and software. In this section we will review what is the configuration of computer use, what type of configuration of hardware is required and which type of software are necessary for educational institutes.

The most common type of computers of the modern era is laptop. However, it is a costly device in comparison with desktops.

Hardware Configuration

The importance of hardware is not ignorable because the main system depends upon the hardware configuration. For example, if any user wants to play a game which require powerful graphics support if the graphic card or AGP card is installed in the system the user can enjoy the game, but if the graphic card is not there, when user open the game it will give an error.
