Introduction

Travel and tourism is very dynamic and complex sector, composed of a wide range of components industries, such as housing, transport, sightseeing, tourism, tour operators and travel agencies, and these are just some of them. You will learn more about these components later in this section, but we start by spending a little time to research just what we mean by "Travel and Tourism" and learn more about the different types of tourism.

Sightseeing is not classified as a tourist attraction, if there is a movie or a theater performance, or if there are sporting events such as football matches, although it is common for the majority of football to have a museum open to the public when there is not a football match, then it is a tourist attraction. Tourist Attractions may either be natural or constructed. Built attractions may include the following:
