In every work practices especially in the services providers' case, the code of conducts and competency related issues are tested. In the case selected, Leo has been a trainee who has given various courses to know about the his specific areas, but, at the end of the semester he has been found unable to adopt those defined ethical codes because he was bound between his religious faith and the ethical codes of conducts that were taught to him. Particularly he found no solution and no one can helped him when the questions were through to him and he was asked to break the norms to deal with the issue. He responded in a way that if he do or do not it would be unlucky for him in both cases. His views were criticized and challenged by other students and this matter was of great issue for the counselor Julius.
The cases like Leo cause the problems to the counselors when the trainees are unwilling and unlikely to impose the practices that are taught to them and are more likely to implement their norms and values upon the clients in the future. Despite of the counseling his views cannot be changed. In dealing with ethics, there is need to know and analyze the client's problem and solve the matter related to their values rather than to imposing own values upon the client. These types of cases require great consideration to make sure to take specific steps to impose ethical practices at work.
