Core - Making Effective Decisions

The competency of making effective decisions is a thoughtful procedure of opting for a practical choice from the obtainable and accessible options. The individuals are required to find out the positive and negatives from each option, and mull over all the possible options. Through effective decision making, individual will require explaining clearly how the possible decision has been attained and offer advice and response to shore up others to make perfect and correct decisions (Nezer & McNamara 2008, pp.2-4).

I have the effective competency of making the efficient and improved decisions. Currently I as a deputy enquiry centre manager have the accountability to make certain the Enquiry Centre does not unsacred its objective in the absence of the manager. During the period of Christmas, the Enquiry Centre did not meet its target of three day cal back. Only around 75% call-backs were being made in this period and the actual target which should be achieved is around 95%. I as a decision maker called the immediate meeting with my coworkers and group to collect the data and find out and institute the grounds for the failure. It was found from the meeting there is no rota system and there is also no possible way to check out who is actually accountable for the regular call-back. I acquire the escort and front in this and came up with the rota system which operates electronically, and through this the individual tasks can be identified effectively. I have the competency of collaborating and partnering. The meeting was held by me in order to find out the relevant information related to the customers.
