Compassion

Compassion is one of the strongest feelings, far greater then empathy. Compassion is known as the ability to feel close to the pain of others and willingness to relieve their pain. However, we are often unable to implement what we propose, and that beautiful word dies without having borne fruit. What is compassion? Compassion is the wish that others be free from suffering. Through it we hope to attain enlightenment which inspires us to commit positive actions. Compassion is a virtue in which an individual is inclined to perceive or feel the suffering of others, and is pushed to find a remedy for them. More intense than the empathy, compassion describes the understanding of the emotional state of another, and is often combined with a desire to relieve or reduce that suffering.

Compassion is a very important for me as I believe it affects my everyday life. I move forward each day with compassion to do better and help others. This compassion has been invoked in me through by mother. She has been an ideal for me and a role model for me and my cousins. Since childhood I have seen her selflessly taking care of our family and those in need. She never used to say no to anyone who needed help and did so without expecting anything in return. My mother had helped my cousins and their family over the years. My mother happily helped them financially and with their household chores. She has set many examples of compassion for me. She has always supported me and helped me with the problems and troubles I faced over the years. Unfortunately, she suffered a paralysis attack and is now paralyzed form neck down.
