Compass Group PLC is a British multinational and the largest operator of the contract food services provider and support Service Company. It is a public limited company and listed on FTSE-100 index on London Stock Exchange. According to their annual report analysis, there annual turnover is estimated to almost around 15 billion pounds. Their share price has risen by 10.1% in a year, which shows the efficiency and profitability of their operations.
In October 2011, the company announced their intention to repurchase shares worth $500 million, and they communicated their future plans with the existing shareholders. They are focusing on the growth and expansion and therefore, they are doing acquisitions. They can measure performance and maintain balanced scorecard.
The proposed balanced card strategy for the compass group is to make a portal on which every detail should be listed. The portal is for the ease of the management, so that they could view every activity by a single medium. For the balanced scorecard strategy map will be designed and the strategy map is a tool to visually represent this strategy to see items that are essential to achieve our ultimate goal and especially to see the relationships between them. In a time frame of around 60 years, Compass Group today is comprised of 47,000 employees and 20 million meals per day in 50 countries. It is a public limited company and listed on FTSE-100 index on London Stock Exchange. In the year 1989, Compass Group initiated its IPO (www.compass-group.com, 2012, Pp. 86).
Throughout the years, Compass groups has gained customer loyalty and brand equity by formulating efficient strategies based on the brand evaluation, competitive advantage, cost efficiency and optimal quality. According to their annual report analysis, there annual turnover is estimated to almost around 15 billion pounds (www.compass-group.com, 2011, Pp.29-34).
Nevertheless, in order to maintain their market dominancy, retain and acquire customers and maximize shareholder's equity, they have to continuously analyze the market and take corrective actions appropriately.
