Introduction

House is a place where we can shelter and gives us a protection from rain, heat and storm. Everyone has their own choice on what type of house they feel comfortable to live, so do I. I enjoy living in calm and open environment, so house built on small land won't be my choice. I want a large open space surrounded by compound where I can stroll especially when I feel bored on my job. I want the garden in front of my house which will give me natural environment. I want the house which is far from main city and industrial area since I don't like the noisy environment. The essay emphasizes on the comparison of my current home to dream home that I would like to build myself.

Discussion

Comparing my current home to dream home, my house is built on a half acre fenced with chain link, located in Greenville SC. It is a 3 bedroom house attached with 2 bathrooms and a man cave/kids cave. It has a small kitchen with French door headed towards a deck. The great room is 20 ft with vaulted ceiling whereas Kids bedrooms are 13 x 13 and master is 20 x 16. We are intended to replace the carpeting with wooding flooring. Currently I have 2 car garages but my dream house would have 4+ garages. I would love to have 10+ acres land with a stream and blueberry patches. My dream home would be a log cabin style. Currently I have a gambrel with gray siding. I have 2 porches which is fine.
