The children's fairy tale "Hansel and Gretel" tells the story of two siblings who are abandoned in the woods by their parents and held captive by an evil witch. It begins when the stepmother of Hansel and Gretel, her husband, a poor woodcutter, persuaded, because of financial hardship, the suspension of two children in the woods. As Hansel overheard the two in their conversation but he knows the plan of the parents to avoid. On the first trip, he places white stones along the way so he can go home and Gretel.
