Over the course of history, movies have been considered as one of the most preferred forms of art together with paintings and books. Watching movies is considered to be as preferred by people all over the world as reading a novel or a storybook. This is probably the reason why most novels are adapted for movie screenings. In most cases, the story from the novel is copied exactly as it is and in some cases, the theme of the novel is borrowed and then altered for screening. Analysis of 'A Doll's House' Ending
A Doll's house is a play written by a Norwegian writer Henrik Ibsen which premiered in the Royal Theatre on 21st December 1879, one month after it was published. It criticizes the marriage norms of the 19th century and gain high levels of controversies. The theme of the play revolves around the need of a woman to find out and discover who she really is and how she strives to be that person and how it conflicts with her marriage and her existing life.
In the ending of the play, the main character Nora tells her husband Torvald that she is leaving him and wants to find out who she really is and wants to live alone to do that. She tells him she believes she should decide what to do with her life and needs to be free from all the barriers of marriage and all the obligations that come with a married life.
