Comparison between movies and Television series

Introduction

Nowadays, one comparison that has taken the entire entertainment industry by storm is that between television (TV) and movies. Therefore, I am going to compare two aspects within the entertainment industry. As both television and entertainment is part of the entertainment industry. TV and movie are different in a number of ways, such as better choice opportunities, the overall exuberance in terms of the environment and many more that are going to be explained the coming parts. It has felt that films are still more appealing to the general public as compared to TV series in the US.

Movies

People prefer movies over television due to a number of factors such as better options available and the overall environment prevailing when one goes to the cinema. TV offers a greater variety of options, but sometimes you will browse your way through hundreds of channels and would still unable to find anything worth watching. At that point of time, it would be felt that it would be better if you were to just go for a movie, at least you would be able to watch something you want (Hirschman, E. 2000).

A person has the liberty to make the decision as far as watching a movie is concerned. For instance if he has broad range of DVDs available, he can watch it any time he feels (Greenberg, J. One reason why people might go to the cinema is that they do not have the patience to wait for the movie to be released; hence they just go to the cinema. Cinema has a whole range of attributes, whether it is massive screen, or the sound system in place. These are some basic elements that one cannot experience at home, even with the High Definition Televisions (HDTV) that have come into the market.

Movies especially in the context of cinemas offer a unique type of atmosphere, a kind that would be difficult to find if you are watching a TV program. Normally, TV programs only offer duration of around half an hour or an hour to be most. Therefore, there is lack of consistency as far as TV is concerned. If you have around two hours free, it would be better if ...
