Introduction

The U.S. Congress consists of Senate and House of Representatives. Both senators and deputies are appointed to represent the American people they serve. This means that voting and writing to Congress of the United States. There are, however, big differences between a United States senator and one representative, including the right to vote. For example, a senator has the privilege of voting on whether or not to confirm the President's judicial candidates, representatives of the United States have no such right or liability.
