Introduction

The two authors have used the same theme, the theme of women's life after marriage and have conducted the stories in somewhat the same manner, however a closer look at the two stories reveal that there are certain differences, which are also related to the differences in writer's lives. As Kate Chopin did not face much financial issues, her characters Mrs. Mallard is also said to behave in the same way, having no financial issues but not being contend anyway.
