Introduction

The skill or attribute that I intend to test is the communication skills of an individual. It is important to note that there various uses of a communication skill test. Verbal and written communications are tools that could be made use of in routine life of an individual. In addition to that, it tends to have a great value in the professional life of an individual as well. Every person communicates with the outer world on a daily basis. It is important to note that communicating something and just talking are two very different things. I am developing this test from the professional point of view. Sometimes, when an individual tries to establish some level of communication with the other individual, the meaning gets lost and is not properly communicated (Ober, S. 2008).

This is mostly the case when good deals go bad and organizations tend to lose a lot of business because of the incompetent communication skills of their employees. In addition to that, apart from communicating with the customers, the organization tends to communicate with its own employees as well. If the meaning is not communicated properly and with the motive that was intended to highlight behind it, then the communication is considered to be a failure. As a matter of fact, it mostly results in outrageous endings and terrible conditions for the organization. This is exactly why the learning of effective communication is considered to be critically important for any employee who would want to prosper in its profession.

Discussion

It is generally that from the boardroom to the line of assemblies, people require a need to communicate with each other, no matter if it's the sales floor or trying to make a teacher understand your point of view. Individuals tend to share information as well as ideas with each other and convince others regarding the decisions that have to be made. It is important to note that two primary things to consider while communicating is their motives, which would be to either, inform or persuade. The communication process in both these cases should be in the way that the proper meaning of the subject is highlighted to the other individual (Ober, S. 2008).
