In the last three months of 2006, a new event started to take place based upon accounts of a 'shocking' number of honeybee colony losses and die out by the side of Eastern Coastline. Bee protectors along the West Coastline also experienced massive losses of bees. This massive loss of honeybees affected 35 states of the country. Due to the sternness and without any pattern of the phenomena, researchers devised a new expression, Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) (Scientific American, 2009). This paper will discuss CCD and its impact on American Agriculture.
