Introduction

Turmoil was created due to the American Revolutionary War. This war broke out because the authority of the Parliament of the Great Britain was being rejected and that the people combined to become the United States of America. There were a number of groups that played their role in the revolutionary war. This paper will discuss some of the groups and their roles in the revolutionary war.

Role of African Americans during Revolutionary War

For the African Americans, the revolutionary war was not only a fight for freedom, but also for justice and liberty. The United States does not recognize the services of the African Americans; however, they were the ones who hugely sacrificed in the war. The African Americans had the choice to either rebel to the crown or to remain loyal to the same. African Americans who were enslaved, fought for their freedom and for their rights. They were the ones who played a significant role in this war.

Role of Native Americans during Revolutionary War

During the Revolutionary War, the Native Americans joined the Americans while some of them supported the British. The Parliament of the Great Britain promised to protect the Natives. They did so because they did not want the Natives to get involved in the conflict, but could not do so for long. By 1776 the Natives were involved in the war and fought against the British. Their role was huge as the United States was then handed over to the citizens by the Great Britain Parliament.

Role of Loyalists during Revolutionary War
