The Beginning

The state of tension and enmity between US and SU established in the Second World War is considered as the major reason for the cold war to begin (Isbouts & Johnson, 1999). Although the efforts of US for trying to dictate territorial and ideological European affairs are considered largely to be the reason behind the cold war, numerous other factors were responsible for the same. Similar to US, SU was also playing its role for gaining power and searching security. Thus, the actions of both US and SU became the reason of Cold War.
