How and why might an understanding of a range of coaching styles enable a coach to plan and deliver more effective coaching sessions?
Introduction
Effective coaching is based on good methods of “training "in the work place to help employees achieve exemplary performance by seeking high commitment by monitoring, results, rather than blame the poor performers. In the same sense, this paper describes the main features of the coach in the company and analyzes, in turn, the structure of an effective coaching session. On the other hand, considers the challenges of coaching so effective, help the reader understand the best methods to avoid them. This paper presents a study of worker motivation, which goes beyond the salary, and taught to turn how to challenge employees to achieve learning outcomes and conquer targets. Coaching is good for employees and managers, for through it, the manager develops its relation, which will result in continuously improved performance for the employer and their employees. In fact, one of the main goals of effective coaching is to create an environment in which employees are willing and able to share their ideas with their manager (Thomas, 2001, pp. 18). Effective coaching changes the attitude of the employee to a perspective of cooperation in teams, allowing to coach their efforts to bear specific results.
Among the benefits of effective coaching can include development of employee skills that facilitates the diagnosis and correction of problems of performance, promote productive employment relationships, and improves performance and attitude, among others.
One must also distinguish coaching and counselling. On one hand, coaching is on the side of the accompanied person, the board is on the side of the organization and psychotherapy, on the other hand, coaching works a request clearly identified on the "here and now" on a short-term psychotherapy while working on the past in a long time in most cases.
