Introduction

When nurses look at their professional responsibilities and duties in the reflection of guidelines implemented by law and legislation they find systems and processes through which care and nursing to patients are delivered. A definite vision and direction has now been put forward in terms of values for care-givers and hold nurses to account for their acts. The 6 Cs include Care that should be consistent and in proportions to the assigned guidelines of ethics and morals; Compassion that means the delivery of nurture should be based on respect and dignity of the patients; Competence means the use of clinical methodology when caring for patients based on research and evidence in Medicine; Communication comprises of exhibiting skills and effective team at work place with benefits for those who are under care; Courage; is the ability of nurses to show strength and confidents in embracing new ways of working for people they care for; and Commitment; it takes seriousness and dedication to construct strategies and vision into reality for all care, health and to face all challenges ahead.

Main Rationale

Robert Francis QC has addressed serious issues pertaining to nurses' duties in relation to patient's nutritional requirements and needs. He called for nurses' representatives to accept the challenge of criticism and pressure when dealing with the best interest of patient's health. Following a report of his inquiry at Mid Staffordshire in which he raised serious issues regarding nurses' actions and consequences of their acts when establishing nutritional criteria for patients. Nurses work day in and out to help people to maximize their health and work with people to provide a better experience of care and nutrition as it plays a central role of care-system. The general perception of nurses in public has become of a personality that will deliver everything to them, putting patient at the core of service and being transparent and open in caring. The nurses need to be focusing on measuring the extent of outcome, building and improving leadership skills and issuing that they have the right capabilities to make their job done (STAR, 2012).

The care givers today has accessibility to technology and state-of-art med-supply to them to give more time to care and organizing their work. They have excellent facilities towards food managing tools and processes in order to ensure proper feeding for patients.
