The clinical decision support system, also referred to as CDSS is an information system that functions on the basis of data analysis in order to facilitate in clinical decisions. This system is highly being adopted in the health care organizations for effective business management. The health care professionals over time have been facilitated in their diagnosis and examinations with the assistance of decision support systems. Currently the decision making for the clinical aspects is done via automated decision support systems. Earlier on, majority of the processes in were approached on manual basis which were more time consuming in comparison to the current systems that extensively facilitate the health care professionals (Kawamoto et. al, 2005).
