Global Warming and Climate Change

Introduction

After the year 2000, population around the world faced certain changes in the environment, technology, and especially in climate. Global Warming has become one of the most discussed issues, as there are dramatic changes in climate worldwide. Global Warming is the reason for rapid climate changes (Philander, 2008). Global warming has several causes, researchers and experts have put their efforts to identify these problems to overcome this global warming and find these issues. Increased earthquakes, Tsunamis, excessive rains, flood, landslides, hurricanes, tornados, and other natural disasters are just because of this global warming. There are several kinds of pollutions that are air pollution, noise pollution, land pollution, and water pollution that has heavily contributed to the global warming. Earth is getting warm day by day and minute by minute because of severe human activity on earth (Naik, 2010).

Discussion

One of the most important reason that is identified causing global warming and climatic change is industrialization. As the more industries formed the more heat, pollution, waste, warmth produced, which directly affected the environment. Industries are the only source of pollution that are polluting air, water, and land simultaneously. Waste from industry is most hazardous for the environment. Fume and carbon emission from the industry pollute the air, and the air affects the ozone layer (Morris, 2007). Ozone layer is the part of the stratosphere at an altitude of 12 to 50 km (in the tropical latitudes of 25-30 km, 20-25 moderate, 15-20 in polar), which reduce and protect the earth from ultraviolet radiation of the Sun. Molecular oxygen (O2) dissociates into atoms which then combine with other molecules, O2, forming ozone (O3). It protects the hazardous and deadly rays of sun from reaching to earth (IPCC, 2007).

This pollution and carbon emission for the industries and factories has affected ozone layer, and there has a gap in the ozone layer that has allow ultraviolet rays of the sun to travel to earth and increase the earth temperature (Hassan, 2005). The green house gasses in the environment have significantly increased, and it has caused global warming, industries and factories have not taken environmental responsibilities and do not take precautions that could slow down the process of global warming. The Global warming and worst climate change has now become a bitter fact that could not be ignored or recovered, however it is also not possible to stop it. The climatic change around the world has taken place. Manufacturing and production processes in the industry produce green house gasses that increase global warming and increase the temperature of the earth.

Industrial Revolution

The initiation of global warming started with the phenomenon of Industrial Revolution which makes everything dependent upon fossil fuel. The burning of fossil fuel by industries and factories has destroyed and damaged the environment severely. The mechanical and technological devices that are placed in the factories worldwide are functioned with fossil fuel and emit carbon and other gasses that directly harm the ozone layer and increase the temperature ...
