1.0 Executive Summary

The reason for this marketing plan is to introduce an amazing product to the hair market world. My product will be called “Clarification”. Clarification is a hair product line designed for women of color. The sections are: mission, marketing objectives, financial objectives and target markets. In this section, there will be a discussion of the organization's expected future sales, its brand identity, the intended market position and the time frame for achievement. Focus will be more on creating a strong brand that will ensure that future goals, defined by estimated future, sales will be met within a specified time frame. The marketing plan covers the strategic actions for Clarification to expand and work smoothly in the U.S market's different regions. The business can have a clear vision through this plan and adopt various ways to conform to the changing economic and business environment. My target marketing area to test my product would be urban areas in New Jersey. The main competitors would be other African American product lines like Pantiene Pro-V (For Woman of Color), Motions Haircare, and Olive Oil products. The company will aim to deliver a reliable, high value all natural beauty products for women of color. The intended market position for 'Clarification' is all women of color. The idea, however, is to market to the working women and the high per capita income. This market will have the highest growing population of women between ages 20-35.

The points that will be covered are the following: market summary, several types of analysis (Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats), the competition, what the product exactly is, keys to success, and critical issues.

Marketing Summary

The marketing summary will give an overview of the target audience. In this section I will provide the target area, location, age group, gender, ethnicity, and increasing trends to solidify the goals and plans of my product.

SWOT Analysis

This section speaks about the strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats. Strengths are what sets the product apart from its' competitors in a positive way. Weaknesses are what the flaws that are exposed in our product/marketing. Opportunities are prospective markets that your product can venture off into. Threats are those things in your macro-environment that you have virtually no control.

Competition

This section will focus on the competitors and what their product has to offer. The competitors offer similar product but Clarification will over all natural ingredients that will give it a competitive edge.

Product/Service Offering

This section will focus on Clarification and all that it has to offer to the market.

Keys to Success

The key to the success for Clarification is a great marketing plan, continuous publicity, and endorsements from celebrities.

Critical issues

A critical issue would be developing a good product-consumer relationship; gaining loyal customers.
