This essay will analyze the strategic implications of a non-profit and non-governmental organization such as “Salvation Army” and the services which are being provided to the masses. Salvation Army is a charitable organization of Christian origin which has a military structure. It has more than 1.5 million members all over the world which consists of officers and soldiers. It was founded in 1865 in London by William and Catherine Booth whose mission was to bring salvation and comfort in the lives of poor people. The organization intends to serve those people who live below the poverty line and cannot meet their physical and spiritual needs. This organization currently operates in more than 126 countries and provides food, shelter and other basic necessities to the poor and needy people. Furthermore, it also gives disaster relief and humanitarian assistance to the underdeveloped countries. How the Salvation Army has projected its image and positioned itself among the people.
