The chi-square test of Independence is used to examine the relationship between two variables nominal (categorical). It is based on comparing observed values ??with each other (that is, those obtained in the study) with the expected values ??(i.e. those which assumes the test, if there was no relationship between variables). If the difference between the observed and expected values ??is large (after checking in statistical tables, such as p <0.05), it can be said that there is a relationship between one variable and another.
