Introduction

Culture is the custom, idea, belief, and social behavior of particular society that are accepted and shared by their people www.tamu.edu). It refers to accumulative deposit of experience, knowledge, hierarchies, universe conception, possessions, religion, and objects used by people in a particular society (Damen, 1987). Culture is also a communication that differentiates societies from their traits and adopted culture. In a broader sense, it is a seeded behavior that revolves from generation to generations. In simple manner, culture is a way of life that a group of people adapts from one generation to the next. This paper intends to talk about Chinese culture, what is the historical background of Chinese culture and how it has still maintained its particular identity. Chinese culture is one of the ancient cultures of the world. In every country, there are specific regions where culture dominancy can be easily traced.

Ethnicity

Chinese descent originated from the Republic of China (Taiwan) and particular administrative regions of china like Macau and Hong Kong. The Han Chinese mainly consists in mainland China, and they are the largest ethnic group in the globe.

Communication and Language

Due to many ethnic groups, most of the distinct dialects and languages are used in mainland china. One of the Chinese language dialects, Mandarin is spoken by almost 70 percent Chinese and it is also an official language in People's Republic of China and Taiwan (www.cdc.gov). Mandarin is also taught in entire schools that is why those who speak other dialects understand this language. Moreover, Cantonese is another key dialect which is usually spoken in Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Guandong.
