The children literature is aimed at young people. This field emerged in the 19th century and gained prominence in 20th century. Literature, based on reading, is clearly a unique source of knowledge. Several authors of this period have noted the importance of children's literature that has been given. A good example is the story of "Harry Potter" author JK Rowling which opened a new world of fantasy readers. The main thing is the importance of children's literature, representing children with a magician who is of their age and mythological adventures living in a fantasy world where wizards and humans are related. The idea is that children not only read but can participate in these stories. The whole picture to understand the importance of children's literature, as is causing acculturation of society (Binnendyk, 2002, 196).
Harry Potter
Harry potter is a story about an orphan boy who is adopted by his relatives, Dursleys. Harry is brought up with neglect, rudeness and mainly deprived of most necessities. This is the world of a kid who is not yet able to think in more multifaceted and delicate ways about him and others. There is simply good and bad, and both are severe - only casualty, oppressor, saviour. His parents were murdered by Voldemort (the most villainous wizard) when Harry was only a year old. When he finally comes to know that he is a wizard and his world is different from others, he finds it difficult to manage both the muggle and the magic world. The series displays the most of the plot as a fight between good and evil. He keeps in touch with his memory of his parents which gives him the force to oppose the despair and misery that draws him defiantly to the Dementors. He is the boy who lived and also the boy who knew about demise (Butler, 2003, 64).
Theme of Fiction/Drama
Status refers to the position in society. There is status discrimination discussed in the whole of the series of Harry Potter. The main difference between statuses was that of being a pure blood, half blood, muggle born, half-breed, muggle or a squib. Poor blood refers to a direct link of generations of wizards and witches. While, half blooded means that among parents one of the parents is a muggle. Harry, himself was a poor blood. But his friends were not. And those who held status first priority used to make fun of Harry of choosing such people as company. The series emphasizes the blood status. The one superior in status suppress the ones who are lower (Butler, 2003,, 64).
Stratification
It is a system of inequality based on hierarchy or position. It causes imbalanced allocation of authority. The factors that stratify a society are wealth, class, prestige, race, gender and political power. In the series, stratification is based on achieved and ascribed statutes.
