Introduction

Children may have to face certain stresses in parental deployment. This paper demonstrates articles about children who are coping with parental deployment. Total of four different articles or researches have been selected that answers the purpose of the research, methods used in the research and outcome of the research.

Discussion

In a research “The impact of parental deployment on child social and emotional functioning: Perspectives of school staff”, authors elaborated the feeling of negativity in youth and children in terms of emotional and social functioning, and how are they coping up with the deployment. The purpose of this research is to understand the emotional, social and behavioral outcomes of children in the school and how does the deployment of parent creates effect on welfare of youth. The researchers have used the semi-structured interviews that were conducted with administrative staff, counselors and teachers at schools that are serving youth from the families of United States Army (N = 148 staff), and focus group as methods. The outcome of the research demonstrated that some children are good at coping with the deployment. However, it was felt from school staff that the anxiety of children associated with the absence of parent, deprived mental health of parents who are nondeployed, and increased household tasks have affected the performance of children in school (Chandra et al., 2009).

Lester et al. (2010) in a research shows the “Evaluation of a family-Centered prevention intervention for military children and families facing wartime deployments”. The purpose of the research was to assess the families who are over coming in stress program.
