It has been reported that even though the incidents have occurred highly in the past, sexual abuse of the children have decreased by 50 percent in the United States, since the early years of 1990s. These findings were based on the reports to law enforcement individuals and child protection agencies. However, it is important to note that one to three percent of the youth of the United States experience sexual abuse every year.
