Abstract

In this paper, we try to explore the concept of psychological issues both short and long term of children who abused. We try to figure it out the major issues that, Children who are abuse have the psychological consequences for the child both in the short and long term. In this paper, we clearly mention the Psychological Implications of Child Abuse, Psychological Implications of Child Abuse and Psychological Problems and Substance Abuse. Finally, paper concludes with the final thoughts.

Child Abuse

Introduction

Children represent the innocence and good within a society. When members of society hear about the victimization of a child, it can be emotionally shattering. The impact of abuse on the child is immediate, but it also may go unrecognized by others for years or even decades. It is an expectation in American culture that children should grow up with a sense of well-being and comfort and those they have the support of parental or caretaker figures in whom to turn in times of need or when they have questions (Fortin, 1995).

Discussion

Children who are abuse have the psychological consequences for the child both in the short and long term. Problems in short term and long-term of child abuse are depression and hyperactivity, as well as PTSD, found to be higher in children who witness DV. Such problems linked to poor school performance, trouble with the law, and other social issues. In the long term, it also feared that male witnesses will become perpetrators of DV and females will become victims. Research regarding the impact on children remains controversial. However, this has not stopped many jurisdictions from implementing child protection legislation and procedures to protect children (Wallace, 2007).

Psychological Implications of Child Abuse

When discussing child abuse, individuals facing or going through this phenomenon can be generally considered a victim of physical assault, sexual harassment or the like. The ultimate consequences that have been seen considered psychological implications that are being witnessed and have been identified among individuals.

The post-child abuse effects lead to disabled brain functioning, depression, duel personality or even the excessive use of the drug. Drug and Substance abuse (such as ecstasy, methamphetamines, cocaine, heroin, hash derivatives, etc.) has been the most common behavior and response that individuals have intended and displayed after being victims. We shall discuss this matter in detail.

Substance implies the use of drugs, narcotics, methamphetamine and other potential doses that help disengage people from their current existence or their situation at present, and them towards a mild shutdown for the brain. The paper comprises an analysis of what, where and how attempts have been made to put substance abuse (SA) happenings to a halt (English, 1998).
