Personal Statement

Chemical engineering is assumed to be revolving around the aspects of developing new compounds along with the related structures and properties of things that already exist. I find myself interested in the field of chemical engineering because I feel that this field is different and distinguishable from basic chemistry. The field of chemical engineering inspires me because it mainly focuses on the commercial applications of all the chemical reactions. Moreover, I believe that through the attainment of chemical engineering knowledge from the University of London will make able to research within this field ultimately making positive contributions towards the field.

I have chosen chemical engineering for the purpose of my further studies and enhancement of my knowledge because I believe it's a very broad field and possess the ability to overlap various branches of engineering, chemistry and biochemistry. Moreover, I am interested in harnessing chemical reactions for the purpose of developing new things according to the wants and needs of people. By majoring in chemical engineering, I will learn about the reorganization of structures of various molecules for which I have also been keen to know and learn. The aspect of designing chemical processes for the purpose of facilitating the industries of petroleum, chemicals, food and pharmaceuticals has always fascinated me.

I have chosen chemical engineering because I want to learn about the building and operating functions of the industrial plants. The big and huge industries have always inspired me. I was always interested to know that how such big industrial plants are developed. I believe that the course of chemical engineering will provide me opportunities to learn about industrial plants where raw materials are modified chemically. Moreover, I believe that there is a need to focus on the environmental safety factor from the perspective of the chemical engineering.

I want to contribute positively towards the environment and I believe through the course of chemical engineering, I will be able to learn new ways to keep environment safe from various pollution and hazardous waste that is mainly related to chemicals. I am interested in contributing towards the reduction in the impact of chemicals in the environment through my research within the field. Moreover, the employment opportunities I will have after completing my education in chemical engineering also impacts my decision to continue my studies within this field.
