XYZ, Newspaper.

Sir/Madam,

In our life we face many things and circumstances that urge us to spare some time to ponder about. The reason to write in your esteemed newspaper is one of the issues that I have observed and I think that it requires special attention because of its utmost importance. The issue is related to the discrimination against women at the workplace. This is an issue that is burgeoning over the period of time. Discrimination against women in the workplace can be observed in its different modes, extending from the sexual harassment to the exclusion of women from important positions and difference in salaries. Thus, in spite of the immense value of women in the workplace and the expanding figures of women in mid-level managerial places, top-level places stay as unapproachable to women. Nevertheless gender discrimination in the workplace is still prevalent and this issue is growing with time in one pattern or the other. With better availability of education and the usage of technology more and more women are opting for economic self-reliance by getting employed in the direction of a steady career. Today nearly every area that was previous touted as being men-only has been pervaded by women. If a woman specifies a position of the cornerstone of all the obligations of an occupation, then there is no reason why there should be gender discrimination in the workplace. However, regulations have been passed in most nations to provide identical possibilities at the workplace for both men and women, but still, this is an issue that seems to be never resolved.

The most apparent result of gender discrimination in the workplace reflects in the presentation of the company. An organization in which gender discrimination is rampant, compromises on the value of work of its employees. Also, the functioning and progress of the organization may also suffer because discrimination in the organization may give signals of unhealthy enterprise ethics to the potential investors and other ...
