Outline of the assignment Changing Criminal Behavior
Introduction
Behavior modification, a term first brought into use by Thorndike in 1911, has progressively evolved over the years. In the early decades of the 40's and the 50's, the term was often used by clinical psychologists to describe techniques that could be developed in order to change the behavior of the subjects by, reinforcing certain behaviors and discouraging others by the use of punishment or other techniques. Since we founded communities long ago, we decided that it was appropriate for us, to keep the deviants and the insane, away from the main community.
