Major societies of the world have changed or somewhat evolved over time. Australia has also gone through such a societal evolution over a period of time. The major changes in the society can be clearly seen in the business, work environment, urban & rural lifestyles. Integration of multiple diverse cultures and most importantly globalization has played huge roles in bringing about this change. Different trends and rises in the service industry have had a huge impact on the population's education level and lifestyle patterns. More importantly globalization has removed the boundaries between different countries for the operations of multinational corporations. Australian government is also taking measures by introducing new policies and campaigns for cultural integration. Technology has also played its role in changing how the society lived, majority of things related to the routine lifestyle are made available on the internet at home. This has changed the pattern of outgoing and sociableness of the people. Simply put it can be said that the Australian Society has changed by leaps and bounds from how it originally existed, but this change can be seen as a positive step towards future advancement.

Multiple factors have played important roles in this evolution of the society and lifestyles. The key changes in the society have caused due to the factors that follow. A discussion regarding these factors would help in better understanding of how society has changed and what roles have the different change catalysts played in the evolution process.
Work Communities of Australia are experiencing change on a rapid pace. The industrial and labour force relations, nature of work and the Australian's work life patterns are few of the most dominant changes. Globalization is the most usual reason for these changes; it has provided flexibility to businesses, employers & workers and has boosted their productivity level.
Structural work changes refer to the changing work patterns in the society. Modifications in work durations and proportions of employees according to genders would be included here. The twentieth century has resulted in a swift increase in the service industries of Australia. In comparison to manufacturing, agriculture and mining industries, service industries have got an increased share of about 85% (Connolly & Lewis, 2010).
Apart from this rise in the service industry, the number of female workforce has rapidly increased along with more employees with bachelors or higher degree joining the corporate world. This expansion in the workforce and industry has divided the total work industry into three occupational structures:
Primary Industry that provides resources.
Secondary Industry that transforms the raw resources into outputs.
Tertiary Industry which has become most dominant including communication, entertainment and business services etc.
