Introduction

Cantrell and Cochrane organization was founded in 1935 and is a marketer, manufacturer and distributor of the long branded alcoholic drinks in the UK and Ireland. The company's product consists of beers and ciders and is the top producer of cider, spirit and liqueurs. Its main brands include the Irish Cider brand, Mangers and Hornsby's, Bulmer's and the international cider brands(History of C&C group,2012). The company owns the Tennent's which a Scottish larger beer brand is. It is brewed by the subsidiary company Tennent Caledonian Breweries at the Well park Brewery in Glasgow. The company is also involved in the distribution line of beer brands in the Northern Irish, Irish and the Scottish markets. C&C Company has production in the Ireland, Glasgow, Somerset and the UK.

The Company's business also expands to the Scotland, UK, Wales, and other countries across Europe, Asia, North America and the Middle East. The headquarters is in Dublin, Ireland. The goal of the company is to maximize the Shareholder returns comprising of the robust medium term earnings and a progressive dividend policy. The groups achieve its goal through its strength in the marketing and the brand management. It focuses on the marketing investment to capture high margins growth categories and the markets. The group is constantly involved in achieving effectiveness and improving continuously. The group retains a high return on capital and assures its attractive dividend policy. The vision of the company is to be a successful manufacturer of high quality and premium niche drinks that are not dependant on the success scale. They have a state of the art cider producing facility. The company is supported by a superior quality research and marketing development potential. The long term strategic goals of the company are to create a sustainable international cider and diverse beverages business with the combination of a solid growth. The medium term goals are to build a strong market brand image by innovation and investment in the premium brands. Thus, these goals summarise that the company wants to enhance the future earnings. In the year 2012, the company achieved revenue of 480.8 Million Euros. The group consists of a superior quality management team and a dedicated workforce.
