The paper written by Pretorius, et. al. (2009) basically provides the reader evidence regarding the cognitive behavioral therapy for adolescents with bulimic symtomatology. The purpose of the study was to assess the viability, adequacy, and clinical conclusion of the web-based technique covering the cognitive behavioral intervention in the case of adolescents who suffering from bulimic symptomatology. The methodology adopted by the researchers was that they randomly selected 4 clinical centres and total 239 participants suffering from bulimia nervosa were selected. For this purpose, the researchers selected to treatment conditions. First is the manual based CBT that was delivered as an individual therapy for almost 20 sessions lasted form 18 weeks, similarly, 6 sessions were based on the CBT added fluoxetine in the treatment. The purpose of this research is to compare the cost effectiveness and efficacy of family therapy and CBT with bulimia nervosa. For the research purpose, 85 adolescents were selected with bulimia nervosa. The primary outcome of the therapy was the binge-eating and vomiting. However, the result showed that 41 participants assigned with the family therapy and the remaining 44 were gone through the CBT.
