Case Study - The Cyber Troll
Introduction
This paper is based on the case study of the organization which is named as EZ Company. The organization faced issues regarding the reputation of their brand in the targeted market. It is because of the reason that a hacker tried to destroy the reputation of their brand by communicating wrong words about the brand of EZ (Harvey, n.d.). In this scenario, I have been appointed by the organization in order to analyze the problems and provide recommendations to the organization so that the company can retain their position in the targeted market. In the current study, the recommendation will also be provided to the EZ Company, in order to avoid the issues like cyber harassment and denial of service attack.
Background of the Study
The technological development has brought several changes in the lives of people. It has brought ease and convenience in every field of life including businesses. The technology of internet has boosted the area of marketing in any business (Wall, 2007). It is because of the reason that, the internet technology offers the platform for the businesses in order to place advertisements with the possibility to approach large number of customers across the globe. On the other hand, it also includes the probability of risks and vulnerabilities regarding the reputation of the business. It is because of the reason that, there is a possibility of introducing offensive and devastating conversation from any individual, in order to harm the business (Specht & Lee, n.d.). Therefore, in this scenario, the organizations and businesses have to face various risks regarding the reputation of their brands which are thumped by the social media abusers who tends to destroy the business for their personal grudges (Anonymous, 2006).

Reference to the Case
The EZ Company is one of the greatest organizations which had developed the latest technology which is able to visualize and integrate the information. The company started negotiation for the retailing of their organization to a savvy suitor. In result of this, the product had been retailed to various government agencies and companies of the U.S. Afterwards, the EZ Company realized that a blogger has damaged the reputation of its brand by the help of cyber attack. The blogger communicated several wrong facts regarding the brand of EZ. He asserted that, he is an expert in the respective technology while he did not get any formal education in the respective field. Furthermore, he claimed that the EZ Company has launched its product for its own financial benefit and the product is totally useful and ineffective.
